Baby Boy?
Should you choose to have your baby boy circumcised, our doctors normally perform this procedure while you and your boy are still in the hospital. The fee for the service is $200 payable in advance only via cash or chargecard. If your child is not circumcised in the hospital and you would like to have that procedure done at the clinic, the charge will be $250 payable in advance only and will be subject to some weight and age restrictions. Please confer with your doctor about these restrictions.
Upon Arrival
When your baby is born at SMRMC, simply tell your obstetrician and the hospital staff that you have chosen McComb Children's Clinic as your child's pediatric group. Our office will be notified of your baby's birth by the hospital staff and your first appointment will be scheduled before you are discharged.
If your baby is born at any other hospital, give us a call as soon as possible to get your child's first visit scheduled. 601-684-7623

No doubt, you’ve been preparing for the birth of your little one with books, apps, advice from strangers and family alike. Then you put that sweet little baby into the approved car seat you had installed and it hits you; there are no more nurses, no button to press to get food, and baby has spit up all over his or her perfect first outfit. Welcome to parenthood! You’re going to be great.
What new parents need to thrive as parents, especially during the critical first few years comes down to four key things.
• Quality Information
• Resources
• Support System
• Confidence
Let’s break down these four things:
2. Resources
3. Support System
We all need support, and much more during the first months with a new baby. Whether it’s a parent, grandparent, neighbor, coworker, friend, nurse, counselor or someone else, there are people who want to help and support you. It may not be the people you thought, but someone is there. If you aren’t sure who your support system is, we can be that answer. Parent Partners Plus has 10 free, helpful, reliable, supportive and informative programs to fill in any of these gaps because your and your baby deserve to have the best support system possible.
4. Confidence
You will have the confidence in your ability to be the best parent for your child! It will come and it could happen in a few days, or a few months, or even a few years, once you have the best information, know where to go for resources and can rely on a trusted support system, your confidence in your job as a parent will grow!

What to Write in a Baby Shower Card From Grandparents
If you’re one of the grandparents-to-be, you may have something special in mind for your message, especially if the mom-to-be is your daughter. Here are some phrases for welcoming a new grandson or granddaughter:
"We are overjoyed to welcome our baby’s very own baby into the world."
"Don’t you worry — we’ve babyproofed the house and have been practicing singing lullabies. Grandparenthood, here we come!"
"Babies don’t come with instruction manuals. But that’s what grandparents are for!"
"Grandbabies are always welcome in our home!"
"Remember, you can’t return them when they misbehave, but you can always drop them off with us!"
The Bottom Line
Composing the perfect message for a baby shower card won’t seem difficult once you start, especially if you think about the relationship you have with the mom-to-be and/or the dad-to-be. Also, if you have any details about whether the mom-to-be is having a boy or girl, these can provide inspiration for the message. Don’t be afraid to craft a truly personalized message, adding a funny story, a personal anecdote, something positive about the mom-to-be, or a unique insight from your own experience as a parent. This time can be both exciting and scary for new parents — and a little humor or a kind message of encouragement may mean a lot to them. If you want to call attention to a special gift you’ve purchased, feel free to tailor your message to include that in the baby shower card.
