Use the default system greeting instead of a custom recorded message for Unavailable and Busy greetings. Callers hear The person you are trying to reach is unavailable. Leave your message at the tone. Press Pound when finished.
Name Greeting
Lets you record or upload your name, which is used in the Dial by Name directory for the Virtual Receptionist.

Unavailable Greeting
Use the default message or record a custom message that plays when you are not available to pick up the call.

Busy Greeting
Use the default message or record a custom message that plays when the phone is in use or if Do Not Disturb is turned on.

Out of Office Greeting
Record a custom message to play when you are away from the office.
Change your greeting to inform callers of this option, if you use.

• Call your phone number assigned to your extension.

• Dial *101 when the greeting starts to play.
• Enter the call group's extension number, followed by #.
From Vonage Phone

From Non-Vonage Phone

• Tap the record button next to one of the following message types:
Option

Alternate greeting for use in a dial plan only.
Temporary Message
• Tap Record to start recording your greeting.
• Tap Stop to end the recording.
• Tap
Before you save the greeting you can play, discard, or re-record your greeting.
• Tap to delete a greeting.
Record a new greeting
To record a new greeting:
• At the top left, tap Menu Settings
• In the section, tap
• Tap Record a greeting
• Tap record
• Record your greeting and then tap stop
• Choose what you would like to do with the recording:
• To listen to the recording, tap play
• To replace the recording, tap Redo
• To save the recording, tap . Enter a name for the new greeting and then tap
Change your greeting
To use a different greeting that you've already recorded or switch back to the default greeting:
• At the top left, tap Menu Settings
• In the section, tap
• Next to the greeting that you would like to use, tap more Set as active
The busy message feature is not supported and should not be used.
• To begin, dial *123
• Press to enter Mailbox Options.
• From the Mailbox Options menu, follow the steps in the following sections to set your required mailbox options.
• Step 1: Record Your Unavailable Message
• Step 2: Record Your Name
• Step 3: Record Your Temporary Greeting (Optional)
• Press 1 to record your Unavailable Message.
• When you are finished recording, press # to temporarily save the recording.
• After recording your message, you have three options:
• Press 1 to save the recording and set it as your Unavailable Message.
• Press 2 to listen to your recording.
• Press 3 to erase the recording and record the message again.
After you press 1 to save the recording as your Unavailable Message, you will be returned to the Mailbox Options
The Name
• Press 3 to record your name.
• When you are finished recording, press # to temporarily save the recording.
• After recording your name, you have three options:
• Press 1 to save the recording and set it as your name.
• Press 2 to listen to your recording.
• Press 3 to erase the recording and record your name again.
After you press to save the recording as your name, you will be returned to the Mailbox Option
Your Temporary Greeting
Recording a Temporary Greeting
• Press 4 to record your temporary greeting.
• If prompted, press 1 to record a new greeting or press 2 to remove an existing one.
• When you are finished recording, press # to temporarily save the recording.
• After recording your temporary greeting, you have three options:
• Press 1 to save the recording and set it as your temporary greeting.
• Press 2 to listen to your recording.
• Press 3 to erase the recording and record your greeting again.
After you press to save the recording as your temporary greeting, you will be returned to the Mailbox Options
Disabling Your Temporary Greeting
• Press 4 to enter the Temporary Greeting menu.
• When prompted, press to record a new greeting, or press to remove the existing one and use your Unavailable message again.
For security reasons, some insecure PINs (such as “1234” or “9999”) are not allowed.
• Press 5
• When prompted, enter your new PIN and press # to save it.
• When prompted, enter the PIN a second time to confirm your choice, and then press # to save it.
After you press # to confirm your new PIN, you will hear a message that your password has been changed. You will be returned to the Mailbox Options menu.
