Short Inspirational Poems For Women’s Day

When I think about inspirational poems for women, I think of Brooke Hampton and Barefoot Five. Loving this short, unique, strong woman poem about life!

I'm busy;
but not in the way
most people accept.
I'm busy calming my fear
and finding my courage.
I'm busy listening to my kids.
I'm busy getting in touch
with what is real.
I'm busy growing things and
connecting with the natural world.
I'm busy questioning my answers.
I'm busy being present in my life.
— Brooke Hampton, Barefoot Five

When I think about poems of encouragement, this collection of things you can control no matter what is going on in your life comes to mind.

Your Beliefs
Your attitude
Your thoughts
Your perspective
How honest you are
Who your friends are
What books you read
How often you exercise
The type of food you eat
How many risks you take
How you interpret the situation
How kind you are to others
How kind you are to yourself
How often you say "I love you."
How often you say "thank you."
How you express your feelings
Whether or not you ask for help
How often you practice gratitude
How many times you smile today
The amount of effort you put forth
How you spend / invest your money
How much time you spend worrying
How often you think about your past
Whether or not you judge other people
Whether or not you try again after a setback
How much you appreciate the things you have

Sometimes short poems or simple poems still hold the most space in our hearts.

And then I realized
that to be
more alive
I had to
be less
afraid
so
I did it…
I lost my
fear
and gained
my whole life.

Sometimes poems about life make you stop in your tracks and think, “YES.”

To live content with small means;
to seek elegance rather than luxury,
and refinement rather than fashion,
to be worthy, not respectable,
and wealthy, not rich;
to study hard, think quietly,
talk gently, act frankly,
to listen to stars and birds,
to babes and sages,
with open heart,
to bear all cheerfully,
to all bravely await occasions,
hurry never.
In a word, to let the spiritual unbidden
and unconscious grow up through the common.
This is to be my symphony.
— William Henry Channing

One of my favorite inspirational poems, such a wonderful collection of motivational words.

Go into this week
with the attitude that
your peace,
your health of mind,
and your heart
mean more than
getting everything else done.
That your smile matters,
That feeling rested matters.
That holding the hand
of your loved ones matter.
So pause lots,
function at a pace
that doesn't pull you apart.
Honour the things that
make you feel good inside,
the things that make you feel alive.
Give time to those things this week.
Make time the gift it is,
by giving it to what really matters to you.
— S.C. Lourie of Butterflies and Pebbles

Fear is loud and bossy.
She can be vicious at times.
And the worst of it is that
she often mingles truth with fiction.
But you must learn to challenge
the stories she feeds you.
You get to be the boss of your thoughts.
You can learn to question
whether or not
everything she tells you
is truth,
whole truth,
and nothing but the truth.
Since you have done the work
to deepen self-awareness
and self-compassion,
when she throws all your past failings
in your face you won’t crumble
because you already know you are imperfect…
AND you are beautiful
and resilient
and worthy
of building a
thoughtfully crafted life.
— Krista O'Reilly Davi-Digui of A Life in Progress

Motivational poems about life encourage us to take a new perspective.

An amazing thing happens when
you get honest with yourself and
start doing what you love,
what makes you happy.
You stop wishing for the weekend.
You stop merely looking forward to special events.
You begin to live
in each moment
and you start feeling
like a human being.
You just ride the wave that is life,
with this feeling of
contentment and joy.
You move fluidly,
steadily,
calm
and grateful.
A veil is lifted,
and a whole new perspective
is born.

Quite possibly one of the best poems about life and success.

To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people
and the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest critics
and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty,
to find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better,
whether by a healthy child,
a garden patch,
or a redeemed social condition;
To know even one life has
breathed easier
because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded.

When I think of poems about strength, I often think the best poems are about a strong sense of self-acceptance.

I am not for everyone.
I know my truth,
I know who I am,
I know what I do and
do not bring to the table.
I’m not easy to deal with
but I do bring tons of value.
I bring love and strength,
but I am not perfect,
and if I don’t fit in
with a person or group
that is okay with me.
— Sylvester McNutt III

When I think about mother-daughter poems, I think of this piece of timeless parenting advice.

Do not ask your children
to strive for extraordinary lives.
Such striving may seem admirable,
but it is the way of foolishness.
Help them instead to find the wonder
and the marvel of an ordinary life.
Show them the joy of tasting
tomatoes, apples and pears.
Show them how to cry
when pets and people die.
Show them the infinite pleasure
in the touch of a hand.
And make the ordinary come alive for them.
The extraordinary will take care of itself.
― William Martin, The Parent's Tao Te Ching

Some of the best poems about life are songs.

This is how it works
You're young until you're not
You love until you don't
You try until you can't
You laugh until you cry
You cry until you laugh
And everyone must breathe
Until their dying breath
No, this is how it works
You peer inside yourself
You take the things you like
And try to love the things you took
And then you take that love you made
And stick it into some
Someone else's heart
Pumping someone else's blood
And walking arm in arm
You hope it don't get harmed
But even if it does
You'll just do it all again
— Regina Spektor, On The Radio

One final inspirational poem about life before you go on your way.

Remember when you go into the world to
keep your eyes and ears wide open.
And be kind.
Love one another.
Take care of each other.
Tell the truth.
Always do your best.
Listen to the big people and the little people.
Explore new paths and have fun.
Know that you are loved like crazy.
Give thanks for all your blessings.
Above all else,
Love and you will do
wonderful things in this world.
— Rebecca Puig

Write a poem inspired by a color.

Listen to one of your favorite songs and write a poem directly after based on the feelings and emotions it brought about in you.

Let music inspire poetry.

Think of a friend or family member who has played a huge role in your life. Write a poem about the relationship.

Write about traveling—whether it’s taking a road trip or flying in a plane or spending the afternoon on a train.

Write about the feelings you experience while being en route to somewhere new or familiar.

Write about a time that your illusions of someone or something were shattered.

You are renovating a home. Imagine that you are this home. What serves as your foundation? What are you working on fixing?

What needs to be replaced and what makes your house a home? Describe.

Write a poem where you are observing another time period as a detached observer. (This could be a time from your past or from another decade or era).

Imagine that you switched places with someone for a day. (Like in Freaky Friday). What would you learn from the experience?

Imagine you are on a run through nature. Describe your inner dialogue as you run through the trail at sunrise.

What do you reflect on as you run?

Has there ever been a time when you felt like the hero of your life? How about the villain? Write yourself as the hero, then write yourself as the villain.

Paint the perspectives of each and explore the different aspects of the story from each lens.

Have you written a masterpiece yet? I’m sure you are well on your way to a creative breakthrough. I hope you enjoyed this exercise and the opportunity to try your hand at a few different topics.

Considered the most beautiful of God’s of creation and yet the most powerful in their own kind, women are directly responsible for bringing life to this world. And with being entitled to such a great responsibility, one can only imagine the exalted status granted to this class of human beings. A woman is often criticized for being the weaker gender and the society considers them as sensitive individuals that cannot take much. However, nothing can be further from the truth as women are strong in their own way. For instance, how many of us pause to consider the pain encountered by a mother during childbirth, or the sufferings in those daunting nine months of pregnancy. Indeed, there is simply no equivalent to a mother’s love and those who understand this know it doesn’t break a bone to honor our mothers, wives and daughters whenever we get the chance.

For all those looking out to make the women in their life feel special – Women’s Day poems are a great way to express your gratitude. Poems written for this special occasion have some exceptionally amazing arts and literature combined together to produce words that are worth being read. Women’s Day poems offer us the shortest distance to the hearts o our most cherished mothers and wives. They enable us to appreciate them by communicating our sentiments and thoughts to them so clearly where words would not suffice.

• Beautiful Women's Day Poems 2022

  To a super woman

Your worth is not in the things you do
Your worth lies in your care and through
You go beyond your limit in life
You are so strong from inside
You sacrifice for that one smile
You are there for people you love all the while
You are a true woman of substance
And a big salute to you in life
Happy women's day to you!
Being so pure and true!

When you are

When you put your soul in things, you love
You don't ever move back in time
You go beyond things to achieve
And have a smile through you grieve
You work hard so that you can win
You smile and make hearts melt
You are as perfect as you can be
You are an inspiration one can see
A big thank you for being so wonderful
Happy women's day to you!

Happy Women's day

I once ran, out in the dusk, the cool
You breathing through this thick air
The smoke
The lawn
Your yawns
But it's stark, isn't it
Now that the sun is over
and this green black sea is ever salty
Happy Women's day Mom!

I call her WOMAN

She swallows her pride, put her feelings aside.
Does as you need in order for you to be free.
Ignores your ignorance and tolerates your flaws.
You call her Bitch, Slut, Hoe and Tramp
She answers with pride dignity and a complete loss of self.
You call her nothing.
I call her Strong, Smart, Sensual, Caring, Giving, Surviving, Tolerant and powerful
I call her WOMAN!

As a woman

As a daughter you are bubbly and cute
As a wife, you are strong and loving
As a mother you always care
As a grand mom, you are always there
As a woman you make life worth living
So there is just a single word for you
That you are the best in everything you do
On this special day I want to salute you
Happy women's day to you
You are special and know that it's true!

She will make

She will make you smile even if she cries inside
She will help you deal with stress
Even if her thoughts are distressed
She will give you hope even if she is
Fighting through
She makes you happy and smile
Even if she is in pain and blue
She sacrifices just for you
So tell her a thank you
Make her feel special, all the way
Wishing a happy women's day!

That makes her lovely in every situation and through
She makes a wonderful woman
Happy women's day to all the lovely women!

Women's Day

Short Inspirational Poems For Women

Woman from home delicate creatures
unbelievably refined bright minds
master household, work,
ditty barely tremble in the dark cellars.
All this is always acknowledged
in a few words here just naming
her today more than ever to honor
her for having a nice day.

Congratulations on the Women's Day

WOMEN'S DAY

The Women's Day, as we know it,
was quite foreign to us as “Wessis”.
Although, almost a hundred years ago,
it was the socialist organizations
that launched this day,
in a time of ups and downs.
The woman was thus more right
and equaled with the man.
Unfortunately, there are
still men in this world who do not like it.
Not only in countries in the distance,
also here with us one sees it gladly,
if she hides behind fabric,
the man serves and means is only so to the purpose.

That's why I say frank and free,
I love my wife, be it like it.
Heaven keep it,
on today and all other days.
Who else will wash my shirt with a collar,
who should I ask for food?
As a man I may be satisfied
with such a sweet guess.

In this sense, dear women,
stay as you are and offer
companionship to your husbands.
Without you, the world would be bleak, dreary and empty,
but you would not have anyone to annoy without us.

Count All The Ways You're Beautiful

Count all the ways you're beautiful;
Your soul and your spirit,
Your brilliant body
And all the wonder within it.
Your heart full of love,
Your mind full of care,
Your eyes full of awe,
Your lungs full of air.
Your chest full of pride,
Your muscles full of strength,
Your brain full of questions,
Your compassion,immense.
Your hands that can comfort,
Your words that can soothe,
Your conscience that roots you In the good,
right and true.
You are a miracle, Unique through and through.
So count the ways you're beautiful And always be proud of you! –

The Song Of The Women

How shall she know the worship we would do her?
The walls are high, and she is very far.
How shall the woman’s message reach unto her
Above the tumult of the packed bazaar?
Free wind of March, against the lattice blowing,
Bear thou our thanks, lest she depart unknowing.

Go forth across the fields we may not roam in,
Go forth beyond the trees that rim the city,
To whatsoe’er fair place she hath her home in,
Who dowered us with walth of love and pity.
Out of our shadow pass, and seek her singing —
"I have no gifts but Love alone for bringing."

Say that we be a feeble folk who greet her,
But old in grief, and very wise in tears;
Say that we, being desolate, entreat her
That she forget us not in after years;
For we have seen the light, and it were grievous
To dim that dawning if our lady leave us.

By life that ebbed with none to stanch the failing
By Love’s sad harvest garnered in the spring,
When Love in ignorance wept unavailing
O’er young buds dead before their blossoming;
By all the grey owl watched, the pale moon viewed,
In past grim years, declare our gratitude!

By hands uplifted to the Gods that heard not,
By fits that found no favor in their sight,
By faces bent above the babe that stirred not,
By nameless horrors of the stifling night;
By ills foredone, by peace her toils discover,
Bid Earth be good beneath and Heaven above her!

If she have sent her servants in our pain
If she have fought with Death and dulled his sword;
If she have given back our sick again.
And to the breast the wakling lips restored,
Is it a little thing that she has wrought?
Then Life and Death and Motherhood be nought.

Go forth, O wind, our message on thy wings,
And they shall hear thee pass and bid thee speed,
In reed-roofed hut, or white-walled home of kings,
Who have been helpen by ther in their need.
All spring shall give thee fragrance, and the wheat
Shall be a tasselled floorcloth to thy feet.

Haste, for our hearts are with thee, take no rest!
Loud-voiced ambassador, from sea to sea
Proclaim the blessing, mainfold, confessed.
Of those in darkness by her hand set free.
Then very softly to her presence move,
And whisper: "Lady, lo, they know and love!"

by Rudyard Kipling
