Your wedding day is one you’ll remember forever so looking and feeling your best should be a top priority. While makeup and dress fittings usually get the most attention, don’t overlook haircare. Healthy, lustrous locks can complement any bridal look. Follow this routine in the months leading up to your big day and you’ll have hair that shines and looks stunning in all your wedding photos.
Beautiful, healthy hair begins at the roots, and helping your scalp for your big day is crucial for achieving strong, gorgeous hair. As you prepare for your big day, give your scalp some extra tender loving care by incorporating a gentle scalp massage into your hair care routine.
Using a soft-bristled scalp massager or a dry brush, gently work in circular motions across your scalp. This simple action helps stimulate blood circulation, promoting healthy hair follicles and encouraging hair growth.
Complement your scalp massage routine with a weekly clarifying shampoo treatment. These deep-cleansing shampoos are formulated to effectively eliminate stubborn build up from hair products, environmental pollutants, and excess oils, leaving your scalp and hair feeling refreshed and revitalized.

Happy Tuesday everyone, I hope you are all well and happy now the glorious sunshine we have been having seems to have disappeared! I hope the sun comes out again soon, I’m sure you are all with me when I say it was an absolute treat this weekend! We had our first BBQ, so hoping for some more soon. On with today’s wedding and it’s the turn of Libby and Dan who held a heartfelt outdoor ceremony in Bristol and what a wonderful day it was. Complete with a forest theme this wedding is big on laughter, emotion and the cutest dog with it’s own flower crown. what’s not to love! Big thanks to Becky Weir for the lovely photos.
Libby and Dan were married on 27th July 2023 at Arnos Vale Cemetery in Bristol. ‘Libby and I were really keen on an outside wedding, with lots of greenery, we had 60 guests. All the big components of the wedding like the venue, photographer, catering and wine were selected and deposits paid within approximately 6 months but we were tinkering and creating bits and pieces right until the day before the wedding! Libby crafted a lot of the stationary and wedding favours which took up quite a lot of time, good job we only hope to get married once’

As we creep further and further into prime wedding season, you may be looking for some inspiration to add the finishing touches to your big day. Wedding favours can be a wonderful way to add some last minute pretty detailing and styling to your day and also a lovely way to thank your guests for attending your wedding day. Gone are the days of the traditional sugared almonds though, things have certainly moved on. Now anything goes as wedding favours, from home made jams, to plants, to candles, to personalised mugs. Favours can be given out within the place settings or used to create a big display, adding to the overall theme of your day. What ever you choose though your guests will love this thoughtful gift and use it as a gorgeous keepsake of the day shared with you.

Happy Friday everyone! I hope the sun is shining where you are, what a pleasant change it makes here in the UK, where it seems to have been raining permanently for the past 6 months. We are making the most of the sunshine this weekend and are off for our first BBQ of the season at our friends house, I can’t wait!! What about you? Are you lucky enough to be getting married this weekend? or maybe you are going to a wedding? I’d love to hear what you are up to. We are heading into the weekend with this glorious autumn wedding, a rustic barn wedding that took place in Surrey. Lucy and Jamie chose Gildings Barns which gave them enough flexibility to choose their own caters and bring in their own wine, while giving them the beautiful backdrop of this beautiful rustic barn. A wonderful day captured by Murray Clarke Photography.
Lucy and Jamie were married on 24th September, 2022 at Gildings Barns, Newdigate, Surrey. ‘We looked at a lot of venues online and both agreed we wanted somewhere rustic and laid back, but not completely blank canvas. We were also adamant we wanted a more casual catering option such as a barbecue or hog roast, rather than sit down, three course meal. Gildings ticked all of those boxes, so a visit on their open day around November 2020 meant we didn’t hesitate to book for September 2022. We had 80 guests. Although we booked the venue in 2020, once the key suppliers were chosen: photographer, hair and makeup, florist and music, we relaxed a fair bit and most of the smaller details were finalised in probably the 6-9 months before the wedding.’
